Glover may miss opener after ocean accident

For the second consecutive year, an aquatic accident may lead to a casualty at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions.

Wells Fargo Championship winner Lucas Glover injured his knee while paddle boarding over the weekend, according to The Associated Press. As Glover fell off his board, his foot got stuck and moved away with the board opposite his body.

Glover may not be able to compete in the PGA Tour season-opener as tests revealed a sprained ligament in his right knee. The sprain places stress on his body as he transfers weight through the golf swing.

Last year, two-time defending champion Geoff Ogilvy could not go for a three-peat after cutting his finger on coral in the waters near host Kapalua.
