Killer party

You can’t ask for a better way to win your first PGA Tour event. Competing against a stellar field in Charlotte, N.C., Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy, just two days from turning 21, obliterates the course record at the Quail Hollow Club with a flawless 10-under 62 (betters the record by two) with a 43 foot birdie on the 18th hole. Punctuating it with an exhilarating fist pump McIlroy beats the world’s No. 2 player by four shots.

A sore back over the past few months had kept McIlroy from the prime real estate he’s become accustomed to over the last couple years on the European Tour, where he won last year’s Dubai Desert Classic and finished second to Lee Westwood in the inaugural Race to Dubai.

But you can bet his back isn’t feeling so bad right now…and you can bet there will be a pretty killer party to celebrate!
