PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Jeff Maggert withdrew from The Players Championship on Wednesday due to what was termed “family reasons.”
He was replaced in the field by first-time participant Kevin Chappell.
Maggert has competed in this event 18 times during his career, with a best finish of third place coming in 1994 and 2000. In his last start here three years ago, he withdrew after the opening round.
