It’s impossible to bottle special – see WGC-Match Play Championship – but if there were a recipe for excitement in golf it would probably look a lot like the leaderboard heading into the final round of today’s WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.
Within the top 10 at Firestone are players that have won 13 of the last 15 major championships – including Padraig Harrington (1st), Tiger Woods (2nd), Lucas Glover (T-4), Angel Cabrera (T-4), Stewart Cink (T-4) and Zach Johnson (T-4).
If only Tom Watson and Greg Norman were at Firestone we’d have all of the game’s favorites, sentimental and otherwise.
