Mexico to host 2016 World Amateur Team event

The USGA World Amateur Team Championship will be played in Cancun, Mexico, in September 2016, the International Golf Federation announced Thursday.
The courses of El Camaleon Golf Club at the Fairmont Mayakoba and the Grand Coral Riviera Maya Resort will be used for the event. Mexico last hosted the event in 1966.
The 2012 World Amateur Team Championship is being contested this week in Antalya, Turkey, and Karuizawa, Japan, will host the event in 2014.
