Phil cracks OWGR top 10; Tiger drops to 20

Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson

FedEx Cup champion Bill Haas stared down Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley on Sunday to take the Northern Trust Open in a playoff. With his fourth PGA Tour win, Haas moved up 10 spots to a career-high No. 12 in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Phil Mickelson improved two spots to ninth, piercing the top 10 in the ranking for the first time since the week of the McGladrey Classic last fall. Sunday playing partner Keegan Bradley gained seven spots to get to No. 19.

With a T-8 finish at Riviera, Bo Van Pelt cracked the top 30, moving up three spots to 27th. Aaron Baddeley, the defending champion last week, gained five spots to No. 39.

Rory McIlroy and Lee Westwood swapped places again, with the Ulsterman back at No. 2 heading into the WGC-Accenture Match Play. Charl Schwartzel fell to 11th to make room for Phil Mickelson in the top 10.

Avantha Masters winner Jbe Kruger improved 50 places to No. 109 with his maiden European Tour win. Sunshine Tour winner Oliver Bekker cut his ranking by more than half, getting to No. 348 with a win at the Dimension Data Pro-Am.

Taking the week off, Tiger Woods dropped two spots to 20th.
