Simpson among Wells Fargo leaders at 7 under

Stewart Cink, Ryan Moore and Webb Simpson share the lead after the first round of the Wells Fargo Championship. Each shot 7-under 65 on Thursday at Quail Hollow Club.
A host of players are a shot back at 6 under, including Rickie Fowler, D.A. Points, Patrick Reed, John Senden and Brian Davis.
Billy Mayfair, Brendon De Jonge and Brian Harman share ninth and trail by two shots.
Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson each opened with 1-under 71 to trail the lead by six shots.
