Shades of 2005 for Woods

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Tiger Woods’ front-nine 31 at Augusta National was his lowest opening-nine card since the third round in 2005, the last year he lifted a green a jacket.

Woods’ nine included four birdies, an eagle (No. 8), a bogey (No. 4) and a clutch par save after short-siding himself at the ninth hole and holing a 20 footer to move into a share of the lead with Rory McIlroy and Charl Schwartzel.
