Waldman forgoes playing, returns to caddying

Kyle Stanley will have a new caddie on the bag for the 2012 season – and it’s one who spent this past year as a player.

After a one-year stint as a Nationwide Tour member, Brett Waldman will return to looping next season. The former caddie for Camilo Villegas and Tom Pernice Jr., among others, earned status through Q-School last year, but finished 193rd on the money list, making the cut in just three of 18 appearances.

Stanley was left with an open spot on the bag after Bobby Brown – his caddie for the second half of the 2011 season – returned to work for Dustin Johnson.

“He's a really good player,” Waldman said. “ I think he will have a breakout year.”

Stanley finished 55th on the PGA Tour money list this year, with four top-10s in 28 starts, including a runner-up result at the John Deere Classic.
