CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Lee Westwood is the only man who can stand in between Rory McIlroy and the No. 1 ranking this week. It appears he’s up for the challenge.
Westwood shot 30 on the front nine Sunday at Quail Hollow that included four birdies and an eagle at the par-5 seventh.
If Westwood wins the Wells Fargo Championship and McIlroy finishes outside the top 7, Westwood would become world No. 1 again.
