Woods paired with Fraser at CIMB Classic

Playing in Malaysia for the first time since 1999, Tiger Woods will be paired with Australian Marcus Fraser in the first round of the CIMB Classic from The Mines Resort & Golf Club in Kuala Lumpur. Click here for a full list of tee times, but below are a few pairings to keep an eye on for Thursday's opening round which, with the time difference, will begin Wednesday night for American viewers:

7:50 p.m.: Kevin Na, Pat Perez

While slow play should not be an issue with a 48-player field, placing Na in the opening twosome Wednesday night/Thursday morning (Malaysia is 12 hours ahead of ET) certainly won't help the pace. Perez will be playing in this event for the first time, while Na finished T-21 at The Mines Resort in 2010.

9:00 p.m.: Jeff Overton, Danny Chia

A runner-up last year to Bo Van Pelt, Overton holds the tournament course record here with a 9-under 62. In 2002, Chia became the first Malaysian to win on the Asian Tour and remains the only Malaysian to make the cut at the British Open, finishing T-55 at St. Andrews in 2010.

9:50 p.m.: Kevin Stadler, Ben Crane

Likely the pairing featuring the least amount of hair in the opening round. Crane won this event in 2010, finished T-20 in defense of his title last year and enters off a Saturday 62 at last week's McGladrey Classic. Stadler will be making his first appearance in the event, having finished T-30 at the JT Shriners in his lone Fall Series start since a solid run through the FedEx Cup playoffs.

11:10 p.m.: Bo Van Pelt, Thaworn Wiratchant

A winner here by six strokes last year, Van Pelt enters the week with additional momentum based on his victory last week at the Perth International over Jason Dufner. Wiratchant also won last week - defeating Richie Ramsay in a playoff at the Hero Indian Open - and the 45-year-old is poised this year to become the oldest man to ever claim the Order of Merit title on the Asian Tour.

11:40 p.m.: Tiger Woods, Marcus Fraser

The day's final pairing includes the field's brightest star. Woods will be playing in his first official stroke-play event since the Tour Championship, while his playing partner Fraser tees it up for the first time since the KLM Open six weeks ago. The Australian was twice a runner-up on the European Tour this season, most recently at the Omega European Masters in Switzerland last month.
