You Oughta Know: Canadian Open

2012 RBC Canadian Open flag

Before the final round of the RBC Canadian Open, here are some things You Oughta Know.

Robert Garrigus leads William McGirt by a shot at 16 under par at Hamilton Golf & Country Club.

Garrigus is looking for his second PGA Tour win and first since the 2010 Children's Miracle Network Classic. McGirt is looking for his first PGA Tour win.

Scott Stallings shot 7-under 63 on Saturday to jump into contention, four shots back of Garrigus.

Stallings won the True South Classic last week for his second PGA Tour win. No player has won on the PGA Tour in consecutive weeks since Tiger Woods in 2009, taking the Buick Open and WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.

• The last two winners of the True South Classic, in fact, are tied for fourth place. Chris Kirk won the event in 2011 and is also at 12 under par with Stallings.

• No Canadian has won the national open since 1954. That streak is likely to continue as David Hearn is low Canadian after 54 holes. He is T-50 and trails by 14 shots.

• The winner will likely have to go low. Of the top 38 players after three rounds, just one failed to break par on Saturday: Tim Clark.
