When asked about the “beatable” back and forth, Blanks said that he would not have made such comments. The past has shown that such comments tend to wake a sleeping giant and he would have instead made some polite comments about how he was looking forward to playing against Tiger and how he hoped to make it to at least the 15th hole.
His favorite match play partners/opponents include Jason Dufner and Ryuji Imada and they always have a lot of fun together. It is always fun and entertaining to listen to them on the course during practice rounds.
During The Honda Classic, Blanks is hosting a charity event to benefit Birdies for the Brave and he is hosting an unconventional event where people will be racing remote controlled cars that are being sponsored by various companies. About 12-18 pros have committed to be a part of this event and they are going to spend an evening racing and crashing little cars and having a great time. He is also looking forward to figuring out who the best and worst racers are and he has a trophy for the best racer.
