Three rounds of the Dubai World Championship are in the books and one round remains to decide the winner of not only the tournament but also the season-long Race to Dubai.
- Firing for Flags
Two teams are tied at 9-under par after one round of the Franklin Templeton Shootout. Keegan Bradley and Brendan Steele matched Mark Calcavecchia and Nick Price. Price made a hole-in-one at the 213 yard 12th hole.
- So Long Springfield
It's official -- the LPGA will not return to Springfield in 2012 because it could not secure a title sponsor. The event ran for 36 years.
- Trust in Cantlay
Golfweek is reporting that the Northern Trust Open is offering a sponsor's exemption to UCLA Sophomore Patrick Cantlay, the #1 ranked amateur in the world.
