Winter deals brewing in Myrtle Beach

RSS

If you've been thinking about playing some golf in Myrtle Beach, this may the time. The weather has cooled off and with this down economy, there are always deals brewing.

For example, Mystical Golf, which owns and operates three pretty good courses, has announced two winter deals worth investigating.

The Winter Patricia Grand Special features two nights accommodations at the oceanfront Patricia Grand Resort with three rounds of golf -- one each on The Witch, Man O' War and The Wizard golf courses. It includes breakfast and lunch and golf on three unique and enjoyable, well conditioned layouts. Prices range from $77 to $95 per person double occupancy.

The other opportunity is for snowbids -- Mystical Golf's Winter Membership. For a one-time fee ($395 single, $95 married couple), you can play unlimited golf on the above three courses from Nov. 22-Feb. 28. A free USGA handicap service is also included.

'Whether you’re spending a few days, weeks or even several months in Myrtle Beach during the winter, golfers can maximize their golf experience with these winter specials,' said Claude Pardue, president and CEO of Mystical Golf. 'With our mild weather that is perfect for golf, relaxing beachfront accommodations and three courses offering three totally distinct experiences, we offer the best deals on the Grand Strand.'

The Witch sits on 500 acres of cypress groves and wetlands with 4,000 feet of bridges winding through the swamps (front nine) and rolling hills (back nine). Man O' War has water surrounding nearly every hole, yet the course is very playable. And The Wizard presents deep bunkers, mound-framed fairways and dramatic elevation changes, as well as a castle-style clubhouse.

More than two dozen major airports -- including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, New York and Washington -- now offer direct flights into Myrtle Beach.
