The confrontation occurred on Bethpage’s 15th green, ignited by Rose telling DeChambeau’s caddie, Greg Bodine, to back off while he read his birdie putt.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is 0-4 and world No. 2 Rory McIlroy is 3-0-1. They will clash in Sunday singles at the Ryder Cup.
