Woods drops back outside world ranking top 50

Tiger Woods

There was little change in the latest Official World Golf Ranking, as most of the top-ranked players were either competing in the Presidents Cup or taking off the week.

The only move inside the top 20 was Sergio Garcia rising to 16th, knocking Bubba Watson into the 17th position.

Tiger Woods dropped one spot while at Royal Melbourne, falling to No. 51.

On the heels of his first European Tour win at the Johor Open, Joost Luiten improved to 66th from 93rd. Runner-up Daniel Chopra surged 120 places to 250th.

Toshinori Muto, winner of the Dunlop Phoenix, went to 112th from No. 199.

Garth Mulroy, who won for the first time at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, jumped nearly 100 spots to No, 183, from No. 281.
