CASTELLON, Spain – English golfer Tom Lewis has pulled out of the Castello Masters in Spain before starting his second round because he is struggling with a virus.

Lewis, who won the Portugal Masters last week in only his third start as a professional, had carded a par 71 in his opening round.

Swedish golfer Alexander Noren signed for an 8-under 63 to take the clubhouse lead in Spain at 10 under.

The 20-year-old Lewis was due to play in the afternoon with defending champion Matteo Manassero of Italy and hometown favorite Sergio Garcia.
