MARANA, Ariz. – Two matches amongst four men will comprise the semifinals of the 2012 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. GolfChannel.com senior writer Rex Hoggard is on site and offers up predictions for Day 5.

Hunter Mahan vs. Mark Wilson

The winner: Mahan

The lowdown: Wilson has all the markings of a Match Play special, steady and straight with a solid short game, but Mahan is hitting the ball as well as anyone this week and he birdied four of his last six holes to blow past Matt Kuchar.

Rory McIlroy vs. Lee Westwood

The winner: McIlroy

The lowdown: In an odd twist it will be the young Ulsterman’s experience that leads him into the finals. Before this week Westwood had never advanced past the second round in 11 tries, but McIlroy has made it as far as the quarterfinals. It won’t be easy, however. Expect extra holes.
