Following consecutive wins in his home country, Sergio Garcia has pulled out of this week’s WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai, China to rest.

Garcia defeated fellow Spaniard Miguel Angel Jimenez for the Andalucia Masters this past week. The week prior, he won the Castello Masters for his first worldwide victory since the 2008 HSBC Champions. When Garcia won the China title, it was not considered a World Golf Championships event.

Jim Furyk will take Garcia’s place in the field.
