AUGUSTA, Ga. – The caddie room at Augusta National is a little quieter than normal at this week’s Masters as friends and colleagues remember a looping legend on this golf course.

Scott Steele died last October following a heart attack at a Champions Tour event in North Carolina. He was 55.

The highlight of Steele’s career was when he caddied for Larry Mize, who stunned the world when he won the 1987 Masters.

“He was one of the good ones,” said one caddie on Tuesday at Augusta National.
