PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Zach Johnson’s long day didn’t end when he walked off TPC Sawgrass late Saturday despite reports that he politely declined to be interviewed following his round with Players Championship leader Kevin Na.

Golf Channel reported that Johnson declined an interview but in fact he stopped to talk with a group of reporters for 15 minutes on his way to the practice tee. Miscommunication between the Tour and Golf Channel led to the incorrect report.

“Just to clarify, I did NOT decline interviews after my round. No one offered any interviews. No big deal. Just the facts. NO hard feelings!” Johnson tweeted late Saturday.
