TODAY’S TOPICS
- New Number 1: Rory McIlroy has fulfilled another life-long dream -- at the tender age of 22. He won The Honda Classic by two shots to become number one in the Official World Golf Ranking for the first time.
- Sunday Roars: While Rory won -- most of the Sunday roars came from Tiger Woods’ group. He carded 4 birdies and 2 eagles en route to a final round 62 to finish in a tie for 2nd. It’s his best EVER final round score on the PGA TOUR.
- Loar Survives: It wasn’t pretty -- but Edward Loar is the Panama Claro Champion after a tough final round 74. He beat Cameron Percy by a single shot to earn his first career Nationwide Tour win.
- Thompson & Johnston: Lexi Thompson has a new caddie. She hired Greg Johnston to carry the bag -- a caddie who’s worked with Juli Inkster - Lorena Ochoa and Michelle Wie. Her dad, Scott, is moving to the Nationwide Tour to caddie for her brother, Nicholas.
