AUGUSTA, Ga. – The final pairing has made the turn Saturday for the third round of the Masters and the leaderboard doesn’t resemble what it looked like three hours earlier.

Three of the biggest named contenders are completely out of contention. Fred Couples shot 39 on the front nine, while Rory McIlroy shot 42 and Sergio Garcia shot 40. McIlroy recorded two double bogeys.

Jason Dufner, playing with Couples in the final group, and Lee Westwood both turned at 1 over par.

Phil Mickelson, who parred all nine holes on the front nine, made birdie at Nos. 10 and 12 and just made eagle at 13 to tie for the lead at 6 under par with Matt Kuchar and Louis Oosthuizen.
