- Four Aces
Padraig Harrington threw out the ceremonial pitch for the Reno Aces Triple A team on Tuesday night. Fellow PGA TOUR pros Lee Janzen, Chris DiMarco, and Billy Horschel also took part in pre-game activities.
- Cantlay Qualifies
Patrick Cantlay shot a 66 on Monday to qualify for the Reno-Tahoe Open. The 20-year-old rookie has made 10 of 12 cuts on the PGA TOUR.
- Juniors Go Low
J.B. Williams and Ariya Jutanugarn both tied Sycamore Hills Golf Club competitive course records in the first round of the Junior PGA Championship. Williams shot a 7-under-par 65 to lead the boys by two. Jutanugarn shot 66 to lead the girls by one.
