Rory McIlroy spoke about the ongoing eligibility situation with Europe’s Ryder Cup team after his round at Bay Hill Club on Wednesday. McIlroy believes two extra events on the European tour to retain membership - and stay eligible for the 2027 Ryder Cup - “isn’t a heavy lift” and a considerably lighter accommodation than what the PGA Tour enacted earlier this year with its Returning Member Program.
